Hot Rolled Pure Iron Slab and Pure Iron Material

Pure iron material, also known as alloy raw material pure iron, is a type of iron with a carbon content of less than 0.01% and a total impurity element content of less than 0.5%. This material serves as the raw material for a variety of applications, including electrothermal alloys, precision alloys, such as soft magnetic materials, hard magnetic materials, elastic alloys, and expansion alloys, low and ultra-low carbon stainless steels, and powder metallurgy.
Hot rolled pure iron slab is a product derived from this pure iron material. The slab is heated and then rolled through rough rolling mills and finishing mills to form strip material. The hot strip from the last rolling mill of the finishing mill is cooled to a set temperature through laminar cooling and then rolled into a coil by a coiler. The cooled coil can then be further processed into steel plates, flat coils, or slit steel strips through various finishing lines, including flattening, straightening, cross-cutting or longitudinal cutting, inspection, weighing, packaging, and marking.
Hot rolled pure iron products are characterized by high strength, good toughness, ease of processing, and excellent welding properties. Due to these properties, they are widely used in various manufacturing industries, such as shipbuilding, automobiles, bridges, construction, machinery, and pressure vessels. With the increasing maturity of new technologies in hot rolling, such as dimensional accuracy, plate shape, and surface quality, as well as the emergence of new products, hot rolled pure iron sheets and strip products have become more widely used and are gaining increasing market share.
