For low-carbon clean steel, electrical steel and specialty heats, the iron charge must be low in residual tramp elements (Cu, Ni, Cr, Sn, Sb) that otherwise build up in the scrap loop. We supply electric-furnace pure iron billet as a dilution charge to bring the tramp levels back down.
